New Chapel Hill Baptist Church, located in West Monroe, Louisiana, has always been involved in providing innovative outreach ministries for the local community. Genesis Family Counseling Center has been established to provide help for those in need of assistance in navigating life’s challenges.

About the Center
Genesis Family Counseling Center is located on the second floor of the Church’s gymnasium. It offers a variety of counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. Therapy may be provided in individual, couple, or family settings. In addition, the Center offers two areas of specialization not traditionally found in the local area—Art Therapy and Play Therapy.
Counselors work to assist clients in developing new ways of coping with and managing difficult life situations in the following areas:
- Parent-child relational problems
- Bereavement
- Premarital/Marital Counseling
- Mental Health
- Addictions/Gambling

Meet the Counselors

Amy Dupree, LPC, ATR, NNC—a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Master’s of Education in Counseling and Personnel Services with a Concentration in Expressive Therapies; Registered Art Therapist; extensive experience with at-risk youth and the families of children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral disorders in home, school, and community settings.

Ann Kellogg, LPC, RPT/S—a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Monroe with a Master’s of Education in Community and School Counseling; Registered Play Therapist (www.a4pt.org) with experience providing therapy to children; extensive experience providing grief counseling to all ages; certified Prepare/Enrich counselor for couples preparing for marriage (www.prepare-enrich.com).

How To Contact The Center
To make an appointment for counseling, you may contact the church office at 396-2433. The Administrative Assistant will contact a counselor based on your stated need. The counselor will call you and schedule an appointment for your initial session. To assist you in choosing a good “fit” for the type of counseling in which you wish to participate, each counselor has listed her areas of experience and specialized credentials on this site. If you have no preference, you will be assigned a counselor based on the availability of appointment times.
Referrals from medical professionals, social service agencies, and others, are welcome and are directed to contact the church office for an initial appointment.
Once established, you will schedule follow-up appointments with your assigned counselor and be provided an alternate phone number for cancellations and rescheduling of appointments.
